Coastal Flooding, Beach Erosion and Wind Advisory


According to the Indian River County EOC, coastal flooding and significant beach erosion will continue into Thursday, then slowly diminish into Friday. Wind Advisory in place until 8:00 p.m.

HIGH WIND IMPACT:

Northeast winds around 15-20 mph with gusts to 25 to 30 mph at times.

COASTAL FLOOD IMPACT:

A Coastal Flood Advisory continues for Indian River County through 4:00 p.m. Significant beach erosion and localized coastal flooding is expected around high tide, which will occur from around 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. RIP CURRENT IMPACT: There is a high risk of life threatening rip currents. Rip currents and rough breaking surf is potentially deadly to all levels of swimmers. Entering the surf is not advised.
